Writings on walls often contain popular maxims

Is it okay to write on walls? It is certainly a very common thing, especially in bathrooms in schools and universities. Young people always want to express their thoughts and what better way than using the walls of schools to express them freely?

Then, those in the bathrooms are even more private , because during physiological needs it seems that thoughts are expressed even better. Whatever the motivation that leads kids to write on the walls, it is true that the maxims reported can make people smile or can also make them think.

This type of art concerns almost all schools, from north to south, and there are even institutes where messages left in the bathrooms are like street art, they are not erased, but they serve as decoration and become art themselves.

Few people sign, in fact most of the messages written on school walls are anonymous. And it is precisely from an anonymous person that a curious message was found in the bathrooms of the Polytechnic University of Milan . This time the message drew a very wide smile, because it expresses a thought that unites two totally opposite people, one from the past and one from the present. Let’s find out what is written in this message and who are the people it refers to.

A recent message mixes Sun Tzu and Luis Sal: the sign in the university bathroom

Among the messages recently left in the bathrooms of the University of Milan, specifically the Polytechnic , the one that merges Sun Tzu and Luis Sal has caused surprise and amazement . But who are they? Most will remember that Sun Tzu was a Chinese general and philosopher who lived between the 5th and 5th centuries BC .

Having become famous for his book “The Art of War ”, he firmly believed that to win you need to know your enemy and yourself. The philosopher based his victory on this principle and it is on this theme that he based his book.

This is probably the oldest strategic manual in history, which indicates how to achieve victory by studying the opponent’s strengths and weaknesses, which are essential to surprise the enemy and beat him.

Whoever wrote the message on the bathroom walls of the Milanese university quoted Sun Tzu and compared it to one of the current social catchphrases, “ Tell Mom, Tell Lawyer”.  This is the catchphrase that Luis Sal launched by publishing a video on Youtube after the fight over Muschio Selvaggio with Fedez.

The writing on the sign in the bathroom refers to a phrase attributed to Gandhi

Although the writer of this message quoted Sun Tzu, he is actually clearly referring to a phrase attributed to Gandhi. Specifically, the phrase uttered by the Mahatma is the following: First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you. Then you win.

This phrase is often reported as a maxim to say that in life you have to fight to get to victory, even if you are completely ignored first. The anonymous author of the writing in the bathroom of the Milanese university instead wrote the following sentence: First they tell your mother, then they tell your lawyer, then you win.

It is not known whether the person who wrote this sentence was confused or thinks that the aphorism is present in the famous book written by Sun Tzu. Whatever the truth, the maxim written by the young man certainly made people smile, because mixing YouTuber Luis Sal with the famous philosopher is truly hilarious!
