When it’s time to clean the kitchen, it’s essential to also clean the hob , so also the grills and burners, especially if they’re full of grease and fat . Food residues don’t spare the burners either and if we don’t wash them carefully, we’ll find them encrusted and blackened, making the kitchen look old and dirty. A well-cleaned hob, with shiny grills and burners is a whole other thing!

But what to do when you have to deal with the stove after a few days, perhaps due to lack of time? Don’t worry, there is a very simple and quick method to follow to have very clean stoves soon.

We are talking about the bag technique , that is, the plastic bag, the one they give us at the supermarket when we go shopping. Thanks to this trick we can quickly get very clean and shiny stoves, free of grease and dirt, well disinfected and smelling. Let’s see how to perform this technique!

How to do the envelope technique

Putting the plastic bag technique into practice is very simple. If you find yourself with the stove full of food splashes, fried food or other foods you have cooked, with this method you will solve the problem and you will be able to have a splendid hob in no time . The first thing to do before proceeding is to check if the burners or grills are hot. If there are no problems, here is what you need to do:

  • Remove the grates from the hob ;
  • Remove the burners, taking off the top and bottom;
  • Place some crumpled paper towels inside the burners;
  • Spray the degreasing mixture prepared earlier on the hob;
  • Open the ends of some plastic bags and cover the entire stovetop;
  • Let it all work for about ten minutes.

Stove and Grill Envelope Technique

In the meantime, take a plastic bag and put the hob grates inside. In another bag, put the burners and spray the inside of the bags with the degreaser you prepared earlier.

Let these act for ten minutes and then take the grates, pass a kitchen sponge with the green part over them and rinse under running water , preferably warm. Also clean the stove and burners with the sponge, taking care to remove any encrustations with the green part and rinse under the tap.

The stove and burners will be sparkling clean and shiny, like never before. Once this phase is completed, it is time to remove the bags from the hob. Take a soft microfiber cloth and remove all the degreaser from the various points of the hob, also removing encrustations and dirt.

Rinse the cloth and wipe it again until the hob is completely clean and free of dirt and encrustations. Then dry it perfectly and you will have finished cleaning everything, obtaining exceptional results with little. As you can see, with the envelope method you do not need to spend hours degreasing the hob, burners and grills!
