When it’s time to clean the kitchen, it’s also essential to clean the hob, so the grills and stoves, especially if they’re full of grease and greaseFood residues do not spare even the stove and if we do not wash them carefully we will find them encrusted and blackened, such as to make the kitchen look old and dirty. A well-cleaned stovetop, with shiny grills and stoves is something else entirely!

But what to do when you happen to take care of the stove after a few days, perhaps due to lack of time? Don’t worry, there is a very simple and quick method to perform to have very clean stoves soon.

We are talking about the bag technique, or the plastic bag, the one they give us at the supermarket when we go shopping. Thanks to this trick we can quickly obtain very clean and shiny stoves, free of grease and dirt, well disinfected and odorous. Let’s see how to perform this technique!

How to perform the envelope technique

Putting the plastic bag technique into practice is very simple. If you find yourself with a stove full of food splashes, fried food or other foods you have cooked, with this method you will solve the problem and you will be able to have a splendid hob in no time. The first thing you should do before proceeding is to check if the stoves or grills are hot. If there are no problems, here’s what you need to do:

  • Remove the grates from the hob;
  • Remove the burners, removing the top and bottom;
  • Put the burners of balled up paper towels;
  • Spray the previously prepared degreasing mixture on the hob;
  • Open the ends of some plastic bags and cover the entire hob;
  • Leave it on for about ten minutes.

Stove and grill bag technique

In the meantime, take a plastic bag and slip the cooktop grates inside. In another bag, put the stove with the burners and spray the degreaser you prepared earlier inside the bags.

Let these act for ten minutes and then take the racks, pass over a kitchen sponge with a green part and rinse under running water, preferably lukewarm. With the sponge also clean the stove and burners, taking care to remove any encrustations with the green part and rinse under tap water.

The stoves and burners will be spotless and shiny, like never before. Once this phase is complete, it is time to remove the bags from the hob. Take a soft microfiber cloth and remove all the degreaser from the various points of the hob, also pulling encrustations and dirt.

Rinse the cloth and wipe it again until the hob is completely clean and free of dirt and encrustations. Then dry it perfectly and you’ll be done cleaning everything, achieving exceptional results with little. As you can see, with the envelope method you don’t need to spend hours degreasing your hob, stove and grills!
