The first thing we have to do is get a lemon. Nothing could be easier, also because very often this citrus fruit is present in our kitchen.
Should lemon be simply thrown in the sink? Is this enough to stop the unpleasant aroma? Obviously not, it is not enough: we must in fact prepare the lemon well to take advantage of its properties.
Take the lemon and cut a nice slice, being careful not to make it too thick. Once this is done, we can use the freshly cut slice to solve the problem of draining.

To ensure that the effectiveness of the lemon reaches the maximum level, remove the classic grid that protects the sink drain and place the slice at the drain itself. Why is this move so important?
The citric acid that the lemon tends to release over time makes sure that the drain cleans itself and no longer releases that bad smell that has certainly spread in the kitchen and who knows, maybe even in the rest of the house.
The lemon always manages to keep the drain very fresh, so we will no longer have to deal with that stench that was creating serious problems for us. After placing the slice we can again rest on top of the protective grid.
The only thing we absolutely must remember is to change the lemon slice every two or three days. If we don’t do this, the lemon slice will mold and we will not have solved the problem at all.
