Orchids are truly among the most suitable flowers for your home: in addition to being beautiful, they can give every corner of the house a breath of color, together with an inebriating scent.
So, how can you make sure that your orchids have as many buds as possible and bloom all year round? Many people don’t know that there is a very effective method to make orchids bloom constantly .
The first thing to do is get an onion and cut off its peel, since it contains elements such as calcium, potassium, phosphorus and magnesium that guarantee antioxidant, antibacterial and antiseptic properties. The peel of onions is therefore ideal for growing orchids very quickly.
The procedure consists of placing the onion peels in a glass container and pouring half a liter of already boiled water inside. After waiting for the water to cool, we move on to the next step, that is, placing rice in another container , another extraordinary element that contains potassium, phosphorus and magnesium. Five tablespoons of rice are enough, to which we will add a liter of water at room temperature. At this point, we proceed to filter the rice water , which must therefore be transferred to another container using a sieve.
Inside the container where we have inserted the filtered rice water we can add the solution previously made with the onion peel, also in this case filtering everything carefully. A good mix and we have obtained a perfect compound, rich in nutrients for orchids before fertilizing.

Before applying this mixture, it is always best to moisten the leaves by spraying them with a little water. That’s not all, because the advice experts give is to also pour water into the orchid soil , so that the fertilizer can be better absorbed. How much time should pass before you can proceed with the fertilizer? The ideal would be to wait about thirty minutes, so that the roots turn green.
Now you can apply the fertilizer. First we will take some with a cotton pad, so as to pass the solution on the leaves. With this simple method the orchid leaves will no longer have to deal with insects and fungi and will be able to enjoy a large amount of vitamins.
