The arrival of summer includes higher temperatures . Many cannot stand them and that’s where the air conditioner comes into play. However, it is an appliance that consumes a lot of energy and for this reason some Italian families prefer not to turn it on given the prices of the bills that have been higher than usual for some time now.

It must be said, however, that the fan does not generate cold air and does not provide the same relief as the air conditioner. With a little ingenuity, however, you can obtain a better result even from the fan, but above all, spending very little. You will simply need some bottles of water. How to make a DIY air conditioner at home
As we said, the fan does not generate cold air and therefore consumption will be lower but you will not have the relief of fresh air. In fact, hot air will still circulate in the house because the fan only helps to move it. However, there is a way to create a DIY air conditioner using a fan and some bottles of water .
So, all you need to do is take the plastic bottles and fill them with water. You will need 3 of them . To each of them, you will need to add 3 teaspoons of kitchen salt . Mix well and maybe shake to blend the two ingredients. Now put the bottles in the freezer.
You will have to wait until the water is completely frozen. It could take about 2 hours or more with a freezer at a temperature of -18°C. Once they are ready you can proceed by creating your DIY air conditioner. All you need to do is put the fixed ventilation and place the bottles about 15 cm from the fan .
In this way the air through the frozen bottles will be cooler . This is due to the use of salt. This is in fact the ingredient that cannot be missing because it allows the fan to work in this way. The reason is much simpler than you think.
The salt will lower the temperature of the ice . This way the air that is moved by the fan will be cooler. The only downside you may encounter is that it will take longer to freeze the air bottle. On the other hand, it will not melt quickly. Also, it is better to always have some in reserve and not just 3.
