Fertilizer for orchards and gardens supports the flowering of our vegetation and a rich harvest.
There are several formulations on the market, but in economically difficult times like the current one, it is hard to bear any unnecessary effort. In addition, we can stop pollution and waste through recycling.
The combination of these two factors then leads us to a clear conclusion: we can make the perfect fertilizer for our plants with our own hands, but with certain precautions.
Compost is a phenomenon that occurs cyclically in nature: the first layers of soil contain leaves and other organic elements that form plant cover. Over time, this layer decomposes due to the action of microorganisms and fungi and releases useful substances into the soil, which are used for plant nutrition and fertilization. We have all the scraps and scraps we need to recreate at home, saving us money!
Below we explain how!

We can also make this fertilizer from kitchen waste components: potato peels, carrots, celery, twigs, coffee grounds, tea, pickles, dried bread or cuttings can be placed around the roots or buried, but first you have to turn them into fertilizer. However, we do not use citrus peels , eggshells or ashes, or printed papers or napkins .
Before proceeding, cut them or cut them into equal parts: for example, leaves and dry bread should be mixed with the remains of vegetables that are moist enough to maintain the right balance between the function of drainage and moistening.
Now we put everything in a container and let it sit for at least 6 months , which is the approximate time it takes for the fertilizer to become fertilizer. Make sure the lid remains closed and store in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
Check regularly for any viscous liquid to form and dry with absorbent paper if necessary . If it smells, it is a sign that our mixture is not balanced . The dry part of the cork shavings is added so that they can be absorbed. We ensure that our compost does not attract our pets and become a natural habitat for pests and mosquitoes, which would defeat our intentions.
After the compost turns into fertilizer, add it to the soil by mixing 2 parts regular potting soil with 1 part household fertilizer.
Our plants and garden will be so lush that the neighbors will envy you!
