Preserving garlic    is not as easy as you think. It is clearly being done well. The most common methods cause the garlic to lose its flavor and aroma or start to sprout. A few small precautions will ensure that your garlic will not do any of these things, but    will be perfectly preserved and   retain    all of its nutritional and flavor properties. Let’s see how it works together.

How to properly store garlic

The ideal place to store garlic is     a dry, dark pantry    , where you can store garlic still in the onion. The temperature in the pantry should be between 10 and 15 degrees, no less and no more. You should store garlic in a paper bag to protect it from moisture. Never refrigerate it    , as    the cold, which tends to preserve vegetables better, is actually not good for garlic. If you store them in the pantry, garlic will stay fresh   for up to two months    .

Alternative preservation methods.

If you don’t have a pantry, you can use    a freezer    . In this case, the frost allows the garlic to be stored longer, even up to six months. Before freezing,    you need to clean the onion    by removing the onion segments and skin. You can then put them in an airtight container and put them in the freezer. If you must use garlic, remove it from the freezer a few minutes before using.

Another effective method is    to vacuum pack garlic    , so that it is not affected by air and thus does not spoil in a short time. Vacuum packaging also allows garlic to be stored for many months. But first you have to    remove the onion segments and after    removing the skin you have to put it    in a vacuum cleaner bag. That way    , you can use them conveniently once you open them again. Garlic    in oil    is another ideal and commonly used preservation method. Of course, as always, you have to clean them thoroughly and then boil them for five minutes. After draining and drying, you can place them in a sterilized jar. Add    extra virgin olive oil until well coated    . Close the jar tightly, turn it upside down and put it in the pantry after a few hours. If you open it, only in this case you can keep it in the refrigerator, but for several days.   Attention, everything must be well sterilized    to avoid botulism and other serious problems.
