You can rely on some very effective natural remedies to protect balcony plants from green insects.

A balcony full of plants always impresses, especially in the spring and summer months, when we can more easily keep our green friends outside the house, which of course guarantees sufficient protection in case of particularly intense heat. However, it is not uncommon for our plants to be attacked by various parasites that appear especially in the warmer months. Therefore, with the arrival of beautiful days and higher temperatures, we should always look around our plants on the balcony or in the garden. Among the many insects that can trouble our green friends are also small green bugs .
Green insects on plants: the best means of their elimination
These insects appear mainly in summer and settle on the leaves of plants . The reason is very simple: green insects feed on plant juice.

They do not cause any harm to humans, but on the contrary, they can pose a very serious risk to plants as well.
Fortunately, there are ways to rid your plants of these insects . Many choose to rely on chemical solutions that are readily available on the market, but the advice is to focus more on natural and organic remedies.
Just for example, garlic macerate is an ideal ingredient to repel these insects from plants. The preparation of this completely natural ingredient is actually very simple.
We take a few cloves of garlic – about 80 grams – and cut them into small pieces, then immerse them in water (about 5 liters, editor’s note) for about 24 hours.
Once this time has passed, all that remains is to filter the mixture and use the obtained liquid to evaporate the leaves of the plants . We will thus provide the plant with an excellent ally against these insects, which will also repel other parasites.
Another element that allows the plant to no longer have to deal with green bugs is neem oil . About ten drops of this ingredient are enough: pour them into a liter of water and mix well.
Once this operation is completed, we spray the obtained liquid on the leaves of the plant and the little green bugs will remain only as a memory. These insects actually cannot stand the smell of neem oil.
Marseille soap is also an excellent element in the fight against green bugs and is also easy to renew since it is often already present in the house. Dissolve about 30 grams of flakes in half a liter of water and make sure to mix everything well.
After letting the solution sit for a short time, place it in a spray bottle and spray the plant for excellent protection against green bugs.
Tobacco infusion is also an excellent remedy.
It is important to spray these natural solutions on the back side of the leaves as well , as green bugs usually hide on the less visible side of the leaf.

Finally, to prevent green bugs from plants, you can also try tobacco infusion . The preparation is very simple. Put half a handful of cigar tobacco in a saucepan with two liters of water, which we will have to bring to a boil.
Once the water boils, turn off the heat and let it sit for three or four hours . After this time, we filter the obtained solution and introduce the liquid into the atomizer so that we can carefully vaporize the plants that are on the balcony or in the garden.
