Did you know that it is possible   to propagate roses with potatoes   ? It may seem strange to you, but in fact it is   an effective method recommended by kindergarteners themselves.  Moreover, it is very simple and   you don’t even need to have a so-called ”   green thumb” to succeed.

The rose is the queen of flowers and everyone likes to be surrounded by it at home: we explain   how to multiply it endlessly with a potato.

Propagate roses endlessly without spending a euro, do it with a potato: it’s very simple!

Are you ready to learn   a method that will allow you to reproduce roses with potatoes   ? This is what you should do.

Start   by cutting cuttings   about 20 cm long   .   It is of fundamental importance that they come from a mature plant that has already flowered at least once. Using very   clean and disinfected  scissors,    make   a clean diagonal cut   , then   place the cuttings in a glass of water   where they will remain until the potatoes needed to propagate them are ready. Take some fresh potatoes and if possible without dark spots, then use a pencil   to make  a hole  in  the middle of them  . Now   insert the cut into the potato   using the   cinnamon stick.   Pour some   all-purpose soil   into fairly large pots and   place the potatoes in the center, leaving the cuttings out of the soil.

To encourage the growth of the seedlings and   act against moisture and heat   , cover them with   a plastic bag,   but do not forget   to remove it at least once a day   to allow the cuttings to air. You will see   roots start to appear in a few weeks.   Potatoes provide all the nutrition that seedlings need for healthy development and growth.

Roses: if you do this, you will have them beautiful, strong and healthy!

The time has come to properly care for the seedlings. The temperature    should never   drop below 20°,  but   avoid   direct sunlight.   Make sure   the soil is always moist   , but to remove stagnant water that would be harmful,   empty the bowls every day.   When the plant has developed,   transplant it into the garden   or into   a pot of the appropriate size.

However, in order not to try completely in vain, we would like to point out that not all varieties of roses are capable of reproduction, as we have just shown you. To avoid mistakes, ask for   the advice of a good nurseryman   or an experienced gardener you trust before starting operation (   source   :   nanopress.it).
