One of the most useful foods outside of the culinary realm is undoubtedly      vinegar     . Regardless of the type, whether apple cider vinegar, white wine vinegar or wine vinegar, it is a product that stands out for its special properties and properties. Vinegar can remove odors, disinfect clothes and in some cases even soften them. It can also be particularly effective in    the washing machine   . We know that this equipment is usually exposed to the negative effects      of lime    , which damages the pipes and some mechanical parts, leading to their complete failure. With vinegar, we can avoid these problems and even disinfect the drum and eliminate odors. Continue reading!

Vinegar in the washing machine: how to use it

Vinegar can bring many benefits to our      washing machine      and in general to many machines that use mainly water. The goal of the measures is the elimination and prevention of lime deposits. Many people use it in the dishwasher, for example, and spray it directly on the dishes before washing them. In addition, you should know that vinegar, thanks to its chemical properties, is a very effective natural scale remover and may be able to effectively and preventively protect the pipes of household appliances.

But how to use the washing machine? Due process must be followed. First, we could continue to add vinegar, for example white, directly to the fabric softener drawer      :     let’s use it in the same amount as we would use for a traditional product, a generic fabric softener. Now start washing and that’s it: just half a glass mixed with the same amount of water is enough.

We would also like to point out that vinegar can be added from the beginning of the wash cycle; We can optionally add it later when  the rinse cycle is running     . Remember never to add vinegar directly to the clothes drawer, as its effect would be completely useless. You can also add a little white vinegar directly to the basket and rinse it until it is empty. You can add half a glass and you will achieve excellent results in disinfecting and perfuming the entire environment. Its action against lime is apparently already known and has the same value even if it is thrown into the trash. If we want to achieve an even more effective and “aggressive” result, we add a mixture of vinegar and baking soda to the drum and perform a vacuum wash cycle at 60°C. Seeing is believing!
