It’s time to equip the garden and terrace with all the accessories:      we will take out the garden loungers and everything necessary.

But first, as with every room in our home, we must thoroughly clean the outdoor environment. We mow the ground, collect leaves, enrich the corners with colorful and flowering plants, walk along the railings and perhaps paint them if the rust has been eating away at the plaster for some time. Let’s remove the weeds and moss between the tiles and on the walls, wash the curtains or umbrellas with a pump, in short, let’s take care of our outdoor space diligently, but without tiring, step by step.

And if everything seems well organized,      we can also arrange the table and chairs. Here, however, it is immediately apparent if the furniture is dirty.

Especially if they are made of plastic, dust, moisture and wear and tear will turn them yellow or black, as if the winter has left a gray patina on the surfaces.

Don’t be discouraged, everything has a cure!

Follow our step-by-step tips and you’ll be excited again in no time!

I cleaned the lawn chairs and my friends loved it!

Plastic chairs and tables are ideal      for decorating terraces and gardens: the material from which they are made is economical, easy to transport and durable. But unfortunately,      due to its chemical porosity, it is absorbed by dust and dirt     . Let’s not worry because we can actually restore them to like new with very little maintenance.

If we really cannot do without chemicals,      we can clean them with a mixture of bleach and degreaser     . But it would be better to use      natural ingredients, for our health, the environment and to   better      protect the furniture. In fact, bleach has a corrosive effect that could eventually damage the plastic and make it more flexible.

So let’s go back to grandma’s remedies and, as they teach us,      we first brush the surfaces well to remove the most visible impurities.

Use a damp microfiber cloth and clean thoroughly, even between the crevices.

Now let’s move on to      baking soda:      Its slightly abrasive effect allows us to remove limescale without scratching surfaces. In addition, it has known whitening properties.

But let’s not use it ourselves. It is best combined with      a classic dishwashing detergent, perhaps      the best degreaser for grease and greasy stains. Simply add a few drops to two teaspoons of baking soda.      Mix well to get a dense and full batter     . Now we put it on the chairs and the table.      Leave it on for at least half an hour and      then clean with a sponge. For     stubborn deposits, you can also scrub with a brush or repeat the process until you achieve the desired result.

Let it dry in the sun and enjoy the result.

But from now on, while we wait to return,      we spend some time with the furniture and clean it with hot water and Marseille soap every ten days or so.

It doesn’t take much to make them look great and impress your friends!
