The plants we have at home are  many times an ideal target for aphids.      These are very small insects that attack the sap of plants and naturally damage them over time. But are there ways to keep aphids away from our houseplants? Here are some tips to help you      fight them naturally.

What are aphids?

Most plants can be affected by aphids, but what exactly are they? These are      small insects,      real pests that cause great damage to all plants. They are      very dangerous for the health of plants     , including plants that we grow at home. To prevent the spread of these pests from endangering your plants, it is important to act immediately.

In fact, these insects can be easily eradicated, but it is necessary to find suitable means. Since  they feed on      the living blood of plants, it is very important to remove them immediately before they cause the death of our houseplants. Let’s see which natural remedies are the best.

Some natural remedies for aphids

It is always better to use natural solutions    and avoid using chemical based insecticides to remove these harmful pests from our plants   . One of the most effective natural remedies for aphids is undoubtedly      vinegar     . Simply mix 1 liter of vinegar with 10 liters of water and spray the solution on your plants.

Another very effective agent that, like vinegar, is easily found in the kitchen is      garlic     . It is an excellent natural insecticide that also reduces the risk of bacterial and fungal growth on plants. To get the most out of it, simply prepare a bowl of water and let 3-4 cloves of garlic sit throughout the day. Once the mixture is filtered, you can spray it on your plants.

Tobacco     is also ideal for fighting aphids. Again, you need to let the product sit, strain it, and then spray it on your plants. The result will be incredible. Liquid soap     , which      can be mixed with water and applied to all plants, should not be underestimated either      .

Finally, if you have   nettles    , you can use them as an aphid repellant. You may not know it, but the smell of nettles helps keep these pests and other insects away from your plants. By spraying the solution obtained from nettle infusion into the water, your plants will be protected from aphids.

Nettle macerate:

  • 10 liters of water
  • 1 kg nettle

Immerse the nettle in water, cover the bucket with a bag and let it marinate for 15 days. Once the required time has passed, simply filter everything and it will be ready to use.
