For anyone who is into growing pepper and tomato seedlings, it is extremely important to see healthy and strong plants in front of them. After all, strong seedlings on your windowsill are not only pleasing to the eye, but also affect the overall mood, while problems with young plants can cause feelings of discomfort.

The key to growing quality seedlings is selecting the ideal soil mix, which is the foundation for success. I want to share with you a recipe for a natural soil fertilizer that can improve soil fertility, make it looser, and protect plants from harmful microorganisms. All the ingredients in this fertilizer are natural and can be found in any home; its preparation does not require much time and effort;

The first ingredient is crushed eggshells, known for their availability and effectiveness as a soil amendment for seedlings. Adding crushed husks to the soil allows you to forget about problems such as apical rot, while the seedlings grow healthy and produce a good harvest. The peel is rich in slow-release calcium and contains small amounts of other beneficial macro and microelements.

It is important to grind the husks well into a powder in a coffee grinder to maximize their beneficial effects and keep the soil loose, avoiding compaction after watering. I usually add 4 tablespoons of these peels for every 5 liters of soil. The peels should first be dried in a battery in a box for several days, making sure that no protein remains.

The next component is crushed onion peel, which not only enriches the soil with nutrients, but also protects the seedlings from bacteria and fungi thanks to its unique composition. The peels must also be ground in a coffee grinder to obtain a rich orange powder, which is added at the rate of 5 tablespoons for every 5 liters of soil.

After adding the shells, the soil must be mixed well, it is also recommended to add a small amount of coconut substrate to achieve optimal looseness of the mixture
