Rootless orchid: this is how it works

Like I said, let’s take a rootless orchid. It’s easy to do, and even beginners can do it. So, if you have one of these plants without roots, you should know that you should not throw it away, because there is a way to keep it alive. Then take your orchid with the dried roots and cut them off when they are completely black. Their color should be green, tending to be gray, and if they are not that color, remove them. Only the base of the tree remains and it needs to be cleaned very well and you can help yourself with scissors. At this point, take the garlic. This ingredient has antibacterial properties and will help you as it is a great antiseptic.

Take a clove of garlic and put it in a bowl. Squeeze it with the help of a garlic press or a mortar and pestle. At this point, add half a quart of water and filter the water to remove any residue. Take a cotton ball, soak it in garlic water, and run it over all the leaves of the plant. Then take a glass and put the plant tree in the bottom and pour the garlic water until it covers it. Leave on for about 30 minutes. Pour the terracotta seeds into the remaining water and add them to the pot. And place a soft, absorbent cloth on it, like gauze.

Now take a bottle and cut it so that only the neck and bottom remain. For the former, about 5 centimeters is enough, for the latter about 10 centimeters. Take the gauze, squeeze it, and wrap it around the orchid tree. Insert the gauze into the neck of the bottle from the narrowest point. In the soil, on the other hand, you put the terracotta seeds and clean water. Then close with the other part of the bottle. The cloth absorbs water and keeps the base of the plant moist at all times. Place this bottle in a cool place for about 2 weeks and spray the leaves every 2 days. Change the water if it is dirty or about to leak. After 2 months you will see the results and you will be able to transplant the plant when the roots have reached 6/7 centimeters.
