To protect plants from dangerous fungal diseases, you can count on a very effective solution.

Dust in the garden

With the return of beautiful days, the desire to enrich the home and also the garden with magnificent plants that are able to give brightness and color to the different rooms increases. Growing plants also means being able to enjoy their fruits: think tomato plants, for example, but also cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, and much more. But anyone familiar with the subject knows that plants should always be taken care of with great care so that they grow healthy and strong. Unfortunately, plant diseases are always just around the corner, but fortunately there are effective solutions that allow us to protect our green friends.

Plant diseases, how to avoid them with this remedy: just a few steps

The summer period, i.e. the one in which temperatures easily reach (and exceed) 30 degrees, allows plants to better defend themselves against certain diseases.

Sick plant

At these temperatures, for example, downy mildew, a fairly common plant disease, does not develop. However, with the return of the rains, the situation changes completely, as the air temperature drops and humidity takes over. These are exactly the ideal conditions for the development of fungal diseases in plants. Late blight mainly affects tomato plants and vines, but diseases can affect all plants. What can we do to protect our plants and make sure they don’t get sick? The best solution is to rely on some biological preparations sprayed on plants to ensure effective protection against fungal diseases. To give an example, one of the most used products to repel plants is copper sulfate, which is ideal for protecting vines, vegetables and fruits. Copper sulfate has been used since ancient times and is an excellent fungicide and bactericide. As it is a chemical product, it is recommended to spray copper sulfate on plants when temperatures are not very high, otherwise there is a risk that the situation will worsen with heat instead of improving it. Therefore, copper sulfate can be applied in autumn and winter. For tomato plants, it is good to spray copper sulfate a few weeks before the fruit ripens.

Baking soda and milk are also an excellent protection for our plants

Other elements that we can use to protect our plants from fungal diseases are baking soda and milk. Of course, during fruit ripening, the use of chemicals is not recommended, while baking soda and milk are safe to use.

Plant fumigation

Although these are less “effective” than copper sulfate, their protective effect on plants is still satisfactory. Ideally, spray the solution, which is characterized by baking soda or milk, at least once a week. In this case, the fruits can also be harvested and eaten directly after spraying. In a short time we will notice how our plants grow strong and healthy, without risk of fungal diseases.
