Plant ingredients

The return of the summer months allows nature to claim every corner, giving color, beauty and luminosity to all environments. Many choose to enrich the rooms of their home with some beautiful plants that are also easily found on windowsills, balconies, and gardens. Among the most popular plants are undoubtedly orchids, which always release wonderful flowers with a fresh and intense aroma. Although orchids are usually outdoor plants, in recent times they have been increasingly chosen for interior decoration, precisely because of their extraordinary elegance.

The orchid comes back to life with this very effective method: this is how it works

Like all other plants, orchids require very detailed care and maintenance to reach their full potential.

Orchids

Therefore, we must be very careful that the orchid always receives the right food to eliminate the risk of diseases. To revive orchids, many rely on some products that are easy to find on the market. It is recommended not to opt for these solutions, but to rely on some natural remedies that can be made very quickly at home. Not everyone knows that some foods that we keep very often in our kitchen are perfect for bringing orchids back to life. For example, thanks to their countless beneficial properties, peas are an exceptional element to achieve this purpose. In fact, peas are rich in vitamins (including B1, B3, and B5) and also provide magnesium and phosphorus, as well as a good amount of mineral salts. All you have to do is take 100 grams of peas and put them in a jug, where we then add a liter of warm water. Cover the carafe with a lid and let it sit in the dark for about 12 hours. After this time, we can take the jug and pour all the contents into a blender. We mix the solution until we obtain a liquid that is very useful to restore our orchids to their vitality. The next step is to filter the mixture, using a strainer, of course. So we’ve got a liquid substance that we then have to pour into a larger container. Indeed, in this container we must add three liters of water at room temperature to obtain the solution we need.

At this point, we can proceed with watering. Let’s pour the solution we just prepared into the orchid’s growing medium to ensure as much nutrition as possible for our green friend.

Watering Orchids

Peas are, in fact, an excellent organic fertilizer that increases the resistance of these plants and protects them from pests and diseases. And your flower comes back to life. Alternatively, we can put some of the leftover liquid in a spray bottle to spray the remedy onto the base and surface of the orchid’s substrate. The important thing is to never spray the solution on the flowers of this beautiful plant, as the strength of the peas could ruin them.
