Mosquito repellent: do it yourself in a few minutes and with only 25 cents Unfortunately, the summer season brings with it some particularly pesky insects, including mosquitoes. Especially in the evening hours, sometimes there are so many that no one can enjoy an evening outdoors without being stung. There are many skin-friendly products on the market that keep skins away and just as many chemicals that keep them away or neutralize them. But today we offer you a natural remedy to keep them away from your homes.

Mosquito repellent: do it yourself in a few minutes and with only 25 cents

The first thing you need to do is get a bottle like a Coca-Cola bottle. Cut it roughly in half, where the bottle is squeezed in a certain place. You can definitely use other plastic bottles, the important thing is that they have a narrow outlet hole. Then add 300 ml of hot water to the bottom of the bottle, not exceeding 40°, otherwise the yeast will die. However, first add 4 tablespoons of sugar and stir until they have dissolved. The two elements should not be used at the same time to prevent the release of carbon dioxide that attracts them to us. For this reason, this mixture is proposed, which releases it and attracts mosquitoes and traps them. Let’s go back to the preparation. Once the sugar has dissolved, let the water cool down a little and when it drops below 40°, add a cube of yeast or 25 grams of the powder and mix everything. Then, take the cap from the bottle and stick it upside down on the other part of the bottle with the mixture. Place them inside or outside (in this case, attach the two parts of the bottle with some tape). The mixture should be changed every three to four days. The cost of making this mosquito remedy is about 25/30 cents. Rest assured, this is a great DIY solution for getting rid of mosquitoes!
