Many decide during these months to populate their garden and also the interiors of their home with these wonders of nature, choosing some of the most evocative and pleasant flowers. However, as those with a green thumb know, it is necessary to take good care of your green friends to ensure that the flowers and plants have lush growth and consistent blooming, perhaps even using a method that allows the flowers to bloom throughout the year.

An example is orchids, very elegant flowers that we often find in gardens and even in the rooms of houses. Orchids are truly one of the most suitable flowers for your home: not only are they beautiful, but they can also add a splash of color to any corner of the house, along with an intoxicating aroma. So how do you make sure that orchids have as many buds as possible and bloom all year round? Many people don’t know that there is a very effective method to make orchids bloom constantly. The first thing to do is to get an onion and cut off the skin, as it contains elements such as calcium, potassium, phosphorus and magnesium, which guarantee antioxidant, antibacterial and antiseptic properties. Therefore, the skin of onions is ideal for orchids to grow very quickly.
The procedure consists of placing the onion skins in a glass container and pouring half a liter of boiled water into it. After waiting for the water to cool, we move on to the next step, which is to place the rice, another exceptional element that contains potassium, phosphorus, and magnesium, in another container. Five tablespoons of rice are enough, to which we add a liter of water at room temperature. At this point, the rice water is filtered, which then needs to be transferred to another container with a strainer. In the container where we put the filtered rice water, we can add the solution that was previously prepared with the onion peel and, even in this case, filter everything carefully. A good stir and we will have obtained a perfect and nutrient-rich mixture for the orchids before fertilizing.
The solution makes flowers grow in a short time
Before proceeding to apply this mixture, it is always best to moisten the leaves by sprinkling a little water on them. That’s not all, because the advice of experts is to also pour water on the soil of the orchids to better absorb the fertilizer. How long does it take to be able to continue with fertilizer? Ideally, you should wait about thirty minutes for the roots to turn green.
Now you can apply fertilizer. First, we will take something with a cotton ball to put the solution on the leaves. With this simple method, orchid leaves no longer have to deal with insects and fungi and can enjoy a large amount of vitamins. Minerals prove to be an exceptional ally for leaves, which can grow healthier and stronger. The alternative is to pour the solution into a spray bottle and spray it on the leaves, applying it once or twice a month. It should also be sprayed under the leaves to effectively combat fungi and pests. Finally, it is possible to pour the solution into the potting soil to promote very rapid growth of these wonderful flowers and to tighten and strengthen the leaves.
