“Are these really real? Can I eat? — My friend’s daughter was surprised. I suggested he give it a try and soon regretted it. After all, they ate all the fruits of my tree. Now they grow their own mandarin trees and discover its incredible flavor.

Many years ago, the first citrus fruit appeared in my house: a lemon, a gift from a colleague who was going to another city. This tree grew and bore fruit for me. Wanting to diversify my collection, I decided to grow tangerines and oranges. But I found out about the need to get vaccinated, which bothered me.

One day in a flower shop I found a tangerine tree with fruits. The first tangerine I tasted was bitter and sour: it was calamondin. But I soon discovered some delicious small tangerines with seeds. I planted them and after 3 weeks the shoots appeared. They turned into shrubs that I gave to my friends and kept 3.

After 3 years I started thinking about its flowering. It turned out that I just needed to transplant them into large pots and take them outside in summer. After returning to the house, they bloomed and I fertilized them with ash infusion and succinic acid.

For the New Year, my tangerines are ripe. They were as sweet as those from which the seeds were extracted. From the time of sowing to ripe fruits, 4.5 years passed. Now I know that to bear fruit quickly, simply transplant the plant into a large pot and take it outdoors in summer.
