In some cases, it may be necessary or desired to increase the number of olive trees in the garden. However, to buy a new plant, depending on the size and age of the plant, it is necessary to spend money, which not everyone, especially nowadays, can afford. Propagating the olive tree: how to do it without spending money
No, it’s not a joke: it’s actually possible to get new olive trees without necessarily having to buy a new plant. However, for this it is necessary to already have an olive tree, and possibly that it is beautiful and strong.
So let’s start by cutting a branch from our olive tree, but not just any branch. In fact, the chosen branch must be more than one year old. After that, you just need to let it soak for about twelve hours at first. After the necessary time, we need a box to spread a mixture of soil, peat and mature manure in it. Once our base is prepared, we can water the branch that has previously been soaked in the box and remember to water it every day for at least two months. In this way, new roots are formed, and at this point our small olive tree can be placed in the ground.
