Opaque stoves or stoves with residual stains? Here’s the foolproof method to degrease them and make them shine again.

Very often, when cleaning the stove, a superficial cleaning is carried out. Most of the time, especially if you’re in a hurry, you just walk on the surface and don’t think about cleaning the individual components. However, it is of fundamental importance to clean the burners and grates of the stove, precisely because dirt tends to become embedded and rust can form in the long term. Here’s how to take care of it properly.
Stove cleaning methods
The first thing to do is, without a doubt, to remove all the parts that will have to be cleaned and proceed in an orderly manner. There are different methods to use, but one above all will make your pan shine again. The first method uses water and vinegar. Vinegar is an excellent degreaser and brightener, as well as having antiseptic properties. The procedure is simple, just put 300 ml of water and 700 ml of vinegar in a saucepan, put everything on the heat and bring to a boil. Once the mixture is boiling, turn off the heat and soak the burners and dishes until the liquid has cooled completely.
Then, drain the water, rinse the components, and if necessary, scrub with a sponge to remove any stubborn residue. Dry thoroughly after washing before replacing burners and plates.

Another ally of the home is undoubtedly baking soda. It can be used to clean the plates by adding 4 tablespoons to a pot of boiling water. Mix well until completely dissolved and, in this case too, immerse the components to be degreased for a few hours. Thanks to the softening action of baking soda, incrustations and stains will dissolve until they become soft and easy to remove.
Fine salt is also useful for removing stubborn stains. The procedure is always the same: pour 3 tablespoons of fine salt into a pot of boiling water, mix well and let the burners and dishes soak for about an hour. Then rinse and dry thoroughly with a cotton cloth.

The best way to restore the shine of your pan
All of the methods described are very effective in cleaning stove components, but there is one ingredient that involves not only immersion but also direct use on the stove and that guarantees you super bright stoves.
We are talking about citric acid, which is increasingly used for cleaning. As already mentioned, there are two ways to use it and they require the same preparation. You must dissolve 150 grams of citric acid in a liter of boiling water. Now you can choose to soak dishes and burners or use the mixture directly on the stovetop. In the second case, you’ll need to pour a tablespoon directly onto each individual burner, massaging lightly, and leave it on for about an hour.

What to do in case of persistent dirt?
All of the methods described above include ingredients that act on stains and scale to dissolve them and make cleaning easier. If that’s not enough, you can use a soft sponge to scrub the components after letting them soak.
This can also be done using a homemade degreaser, which can be easily done at home. All you need is a teaspoon of baking soda, a little Marseille soap and 400 ml of water. You will need to dissolve the soap in a double boiler with the baking soda and then add the water. Finally, pour the mixture into a bottle equipped with a sprayer. This degreaser will be useful for both pans and pots.
At the end of the procedure, rinse thoroughly and dry to prevent water residue from causing rust.
