Most gardeners are faced with the problem of stunted growth of cucumbers and wonder how to get them to active growth. The solution to this problem begins with identifying its cause.

One of the most popular reasons for the slowdown in cucumber growth is the decrease in air and soil temperatures. Therefore, it is important to provide enough heat to the soil to support plant growth.

Fertilizers are not properly absorbed in cold soils, so don’t rush to apply fertilizers in cold soils. As soon as it’s hot, you can feed the cucumbers yeast fertilizer. To prepare the solution, dissolve the yeast – 100 g. sugar – and 30 gr. Sugar in a bucket of water. After a few hours, dissolve the fertilizer in water in a ratio of 1 to 5 and pour over the cucumbers. Before applying fertilizer, water the beds with running water.

Another option for feeding cucumbers is an infusion of black bread. Pour the cookies (2/3 of the volume) into a bucket and fill with room temperature water. Place a weight on top. After a week, strain the solution, dilute it with water in a proportion of 1 to 3 and pour over the cucumbers.

Avoid using a mullein solution to stimulate growth, as cucumbers slowly absorb nitrogen.

Another option for feeding cucumbers is to use mineral fertilizers such as urea or potassium humate. They contain essential nutrients that promote active growth of cucumbers. These fertilizers should be applied according to the instructions on the packaging and the recommendations of specialists.
