Today I want to share with you the most effective method of feeding cucumbers. Last year I tried it and I can safely say that this method guarantees a rich harvest of cucumbers in summer. This fertilizer is ideal for cucumbers, as it is completely natural, which is, of course, very important.

You can start fertilizing when the plant has 2 true leaves. So what do we need?

The first ingredient is a green weed fertilizer that probably everyone has heard of.

This method works especially well with cucumbers and stimulates their fruiting. How to prepare fertilizer? Get a bucket of weeds, dandelions and nettles work best. If you don’t have these plants, any other herb will do. Fill a 10-liter bucket to the top and then fill it with water.

Before you let the weeds go crazy, add 5 tablespoons of garden diatomaceous earth.

It is very important that the diatomaceous earth is in powder form, as large particles will not do. After adding diatomaceous earth, mix the composition well, close the lid and remove it to infuse it in a warm place for 5 to 6 days.

For those unfamiliar with diatomaceous earth, it is the shell algae remains that have been processed and crushed to produce a nutritious fertilizer. Many people don’t know that diatomaceous earth can double the nutritional properties of green manure. It contains silicon, which actively stimulates the growth of new shoots, roots, flowers and fruits, and also protects plants from temperature changes and prevents the development of pathogenic microorganisms.

Therefore, the plants will become less susceptible to disease, and cucumbers will grow faster, more abundantly, and even in the cold season. To feed the plants, dissolve 1 liter of infusion in a 10-liter bucket of water and water the plants with half a liter if they are still young, or one liter if they are already mature. By the way, diatomaceous earth can also be added directly to a watering can with diluted green fertilizer before watering, without first infusing it into a bucket.

This method of feeding is very effective and natural. Not only does it stimulate the growth of cucumbers, but it also protects them from diseases and temperature changes. Thanks to this, the plants grow healthy and produce excellent harvests.

I hope my tips are useful to you. How do cucumbers feed? Do you use natural methods like these, or do you prefer ready-made, store-bought fertilizers? Tell us about your experience!
