Wasps in the house

With the arrival of spring,  nature offers an array of flowers, we somehow come back to life. And this is how animals come out of hibernation, including wasps and hornets. It is a feared insect that can  nest  in the outer corners of the garden or the house itself. If you want to keep them away and ensure they don’t take up shared spaces, there is a plant that can help by scaring the insects away.

How to keep wasps and hornets out of your home?

Wasps and hornets  should not be confused with  bees  . Each of them represents a different category with specific characteristics:

  • The wasp has a long, tapered body with a bright yellow color;
  • Hornets tend to be brick red/brown and have a stocky body up to approx. 3 cm in size;
  • Bees have a less tapered body than wasps and a warmer yellow tone.

Bees pollinate  and their task is essential. Wasps and hornets also have their task in nature, considering that their aggression is always triggered by defense in the event of a threat or a perceived threat. Unlike a bee, their stinger does not break after stinging.

A plant disliked by wasps and hornets

It is  normal to be afraid  and want to avoid contact with them at all costs. You shouldn’t get excited in their presence and you shouldn’t bother them, because in defense they might protect themselves by biting. If you find a nest, do not touch it, but contact a professional to  safely relocate it.

It is  an insect  that does not have a long lifespan, its cycle ends with the arrival of winter. The ecosystem is  a perfect machine  , therefore we must not harm them, but adopt plants that can drive them away thanks to their special properties.
