Get healthy and strong plants even without the use of fertilizers or chemicals. Let’s see how.

Lush plant

There is a natural ingredient that we usually throw away to make the plants in the garden or living room more lush than ever. Here’s how to use it to keep healthy plants in sight.

Healthy plants: a feast for the eyes

After various lockdowns, the study showed that more and more people are interested in taking care of plants and greenery. In fact, even those who don’t have a lot of space have not given up buying a few plants to scatter on windowsills or in the living room.

This is because  taking care of plants has been shown  to help relieve stress. Furthermore, some indoor plants (and others) can also have beneficial effects on the air we breathe in our homes. Some are even able to absorb formaldehyde and other dangerous substances, commonly found in paints, for example.

However, it is not always possible for your plants to grow lush and healthy. This can happen for a variety of reasons. One of them is  poor fertilization  . Not everyone has a green thumb and is able to understand when and how to fertilize. Fortunately, there are natural ingredients that are very effective for our plants. Let’s discover one that is even stronger than water.

Plant

A component stronger than water

The stronger than water ingredient for our plants is actually water based and we usually throw it away because we don’t know what to do with it. This is water for cooking rice, which can be highly beneficial for vegetables due to its properties.

It is a white liquid, more or less thick, which we usually throw down the sink. This is because we are not aware of the fact that it is very rich in nutrients, which is used in dual purpose agriculture.

The first is to hydrate the plant. Second, nourish it because  it is rich in minerals  (potassium, magnesium, etc.) that help plants grow stronger, healthier, and faster. In addition, rice water also contains carbohydrates and starches that soil microorganisms need for their work.

rice

To use it, you have to put some rice in a bowl full of water. It must be  thoroughly rinsed with water  , hands and rubbing. Alternatively, you can use cooking water. The next operation will be to filter the water using a strainer to remove  the rice  .

Water the plants with this water at least  three times a week  . Especially in summer, irrigation with rice water should be done after five o’clock in the afternoon. In this way, there will be less evaporation and the soil will absorb all the nutrients useful for the plants.
