Did you know that it is enough to use the envelope technique to have your kitchen stove free of grease and shiny? The fat disappears and so does the fat.

When cleaning the kitchen it is essential to also clean the countertop, therefore also the grills and stoves, especially if they are full of grease and grease. The remains of food do not even come out of the stove and if we do not wash them carefully we will find them encrusted and blackened, making the kitchen look old and dirty. A very clean cooktop with bright grills and burners is something else entirely! But what do you do when after a few days you have to take care of the stove, perhaps due to lack of time? Don’t worry, there is a very simple and quick method to follow to quickly have very clean stoves. We are talking about the envelope technique, or rather the plastic bag, the one that is given to us in the supermarket when we go shopping. Thanks to this trick we can quickly obtain very clean and shiny stoves, free of grease and dirt, well disinfected and smelly. Let’s see how to perform this technique!

How to prepare the mix for cooking and grilling.
To obtain excellent results in cleaning your kitchen countertop, and therefore have grills and stoves well cleaned and degreased, you must use an effective mixture. Forget about the products found in the supermarket, here is a homemade mixture that you can prepare a few minutes before cleaning the kitchen and with inexpensive ingredients that are easy to find at home. Here’s what you need to do:
- Take a glass container;
- Pour in half a glass of floor cleaner;
- Add two teaspoons of baking soda;
- Mix carefully;
- Add 1/4 cup white vinegar;
- Mix everything well.

How to do the envelope technique
Putting the plastic bag technique into practice is very simple. If you find the stove full of food splatters, fried foods or other foods that you have cooked, with this method you will solve the problem and you will be able to have a splendid plate in no time. The first thing you need to do before proceeding is to check if the stove or grills are hot. If there are no problems, here’s what you should do:
- Remove the grates from the countertop;
- Remove burners, removing top and bottom;
- Place a few rolled-up paper towels inside the burners;
- Spray the pre-prepared degreasing mixture on the countertop;
- Open the ends of a few plastic bags and cover the entire stove;
- Leave everything on for about ten minutes.

In the meantime, grab a plastic bag and place it inside the countertop grates. Place the stove with the burners in another bag and spray the degreaser you prepared earlier into the bags. Leave them on for ten minutes and then take the grates, pass them through a kitchen sponge with the green part and rinse them under running water, preferably lukewarm. Also clean the stove and burners with the sponge, taking care to remove any possible incrustations with the green part and rinse with tap water. The stove and burners will be very clean and shiny, like never before. Once this phase is complete, it’s time to remove the bags from the countertop. Take a soft microfiber cloth and remove all the degreaser from the different points of the countertop, also removing incrustations and dirt. Rinse the cloth and run it again until the plate is completely clean and free of dirt and scale. At this point, dry it perfectly and you will have finished cleaning everything, obtaining exceptional results with little. As you can see, with the bag method you don’t need to spend hours degreasing the hob, stove, and grills.
