Keeps fruit fresh for a long time and without a refrigerator, find out how! In just a few steps, incredible but true, we can preserve the fruit for a whole year. The news? We will not need a refrigerator. By performing a few simple steps we will seal and keep fresh any fruit that may be contained, in large quantities, in a glass jar. Of course, we must remember that once the fruit is well placed in the jars we will have to store it at a temperature not exceeding 18 degrees and in a dry place. We can also consume it a few days after opening the jar.

Keeps fruit fresh for a long time and without a refrigerator, find out how!

Here are the first steps to take to preserve fruit in glass jars. First you need to get a jar with a capacity of one and a half liters. Then you have to take a pot full of water to the fire and boil it. Meanwhile, remove the stems and leaves from the fruit that we are going to preserve. Afterwards you will need to wash and rinse the fruit no less than 3 or 4 times and then dry it properly.

At this point it is necessary to place the fruit in glass jars and then pour the hot water into them. After filling the jars to the brim, let them sit for 10 minutes. Keep in mind that it’s important to place the lids on each jar without closing it. Once the necessary time has passed, pour the water from the jars into a saucepan and bring it back to a boil. Then we add two tablespoons of sugar to the fruit and then pour the water into the jars once it has boiled.

Close glass jars and preserve fruit.

We pour the water until the rim of each jar is free using a ladle, then we close everything tightly. Now all that remains is to wrap the glass jars in two towels and set them aside. At this point, we leave them for 24 hours to cool to room temperature. Then we can preserve the fruit perfectly for up to 12 months.
