Replacement product for the iron.

If ironing isn’t your thing or you don’t feel like doing it but some garment is excessively wrinkled, what should you do? There is a very simple home remedy that can quickly help you say goodbye to wrinkles, even the most obvious ones. Let’s find out together what it is and how to make it a reality.

iron

The iron is believed to have been invented in the 17th century, although early versions were evidently very different from those of today.  The ancestor of the iron we know today was made from a block of metal  , usually iron, which was heated directly on the stove or fire. Later, more advanced iron models were developed, equipped with a wooden handle for ease of use.

Antique iron

Over time,  engineers continued to improve the design of the iron  , introducing new materials and technologies to increase efficiency and safety. In the 19th century, the first electric irons were developed, which used electrical resistors to generate heat.

In the following years,  the design of irons was further refined  , with the introduction of features such as temperature control and quick-release steam system. Today, modern irons are equipped with various features such as non-stick technology and automatic steaming.

How to avoid ironing clothes

However, the question of “ironing” has been increasingly discussed lately  . On the one hand, there are  those who are faithful to the iron  , who are not intimidated even by heat and iron their clothes without sparing the fabric, so that their clothes always have very soft clothes.

Ironing the folds

In the middle is the most common category lately, that is,  those who iron only what is strictly necessary,  either due to time constraints or because they are not interested in ironing towels, for example.
Finally, there is the category of  those who have completely abandoned the iron, if they have one,  in favour of a less aggressive spin cycle and taking care to hang the clothes properly.

In each of these cases, however,  it may happen that wrinkles form on the clothes and there may not be a possibility of using the iron  , or simply putting it on to smooth out a wrinkle would be a waste. So how to fix it?

As we mentioned among the techniques to avoid using the iron, it all starts with proper washing.  A not-too-powerful centrifuge helps prevent clothes from wrinkling excessively  and hanging them properly will make things even easier. However, there are fabrics or garments that are impossible not to iron. So let’s see how to remedy this in a simple way with the ingredients you have at home.

Goodbye to wrinkles but without ironing

The procedure we will see shortly may not work well on some more specific fabrics, so the main advice is to carry out a small test on an inconspicuous part.

The ultimate solution to say goodbye to wrinkles without using an iron is to wet them  . Yes, but not just with water. What you will need, in addition to water, is white vinegar and hair conditioner.

Pour 400 ml of hot water into a jug, to which you should add a tablespoon of white vinegar and a teaspoon of hair conditioner. Mix everything well until you obtain a homogeneous solution. Let it cool and then transfer everything to a spray bottle. Close the bottle, shake it and spray the mixture on the creases.

Goodbye to wrinkles

Be careful to  moisten the fabric without over-wetting it  . Once all the folds are moistened, take the fabric with both hands and pull it sideways, as if to widen it. This will allow  the fabric to stretch and allow the solution to penetrate  . Hang the garment on a hanger and wait for it to dry. You will be able to notice how  soft your garment will be without using an iron  .

Once this is done, you can store this solution and use it when needed, remembering to shake it well before using it.
