Characteristics of orchids
Orchids, which in the language of flowers are the symbol of beauty and sensuality, are beautiful and elegant flowers. This beautiful flower of tropical and subtropical origin is also widespread in Italy. What distinguishes these flowers are their fleshy leaves and variegated flowers.

On the market, three species of orchids are mainly widespread, such as the well-known butterfly orchid or Phalaenopsis. They grow well in apartments, at a temperature of around twenty degrees, in bright, humid places and never in direct sunlight.
A healthy orchid, blooms twice a year, but they must be fertilized all year round. As for watering, they should only be watered when they are completely dry. Since these are delicate plants, which grow on soft soils, you must be careful never to exceed with water.
Reviving an orchid
To give new life to an orchid, to make it grow vigorously and with healthy and robust roots, you can follow a method used by Asians. To get started, simply take an orchid plant and clean the roots from the potting soil. Then with the help of a pair of scissors, you need to cut all the roots. At this point, after removing each root with your hands, you need to remove the excess leaves, so as to leave only a central stem intact.
After carefully washing the orchid, and drying the remaining leaves with cotton, you need to take some garlic and press it into a mortar. The crushed garlic should then be placed on the bottom of a glass container. Water must be added to the garlic, which must then be filtered into another container. The orchid is then placed in a jar, in which about a third of it is necessary to pour in the garlic juice.
After leaving the small orchid in the garlic juice, for about twenty minutes, the plant should be left to dry in an empty glass. In the meantime, you have to take a plastic bottle and cut the top so that you get a plastic cup. Then the upper part of the bottle or neck must be placed on the bottom of the glass obtained.
Inside the neck of the bottle, the root of the small orchid must then be inserted. After that, water must be added, so as not to wet the roots. The water on the bottom will evaporate as the hours go by and maintain the right humidity. Every two days it is necessary to spray the orchid plant inside the bottle with a little water, and within a month it will quickly develop new roots and new healthy and robust leaves.

Orchid tips
Orchids should always be planted in transparent pots, because their root system requires a lot of light to develop. The pots suitable for orchids are those able to guarantee maximum oxygenation and ventilation.
Orchid plants should be watered by immersing their pot in a basin of water. Considering that orchids do not tolerate chlorine, it is better to mist and water them with rainwater or distilled water.
It is best to place the orchid in humid places such as the bathroom, kitchen or a greenhouse. To make an orchid last in place, it is necessary to never expose it to sunlight, avoid stagnant water and carefully cut the roots.
To make an orchid bloom again, just administer fertilizer and water at the right frequency, check and clean the leaves regularly with a cloth or cotton. It is very important to keep them in a well-ventilated place, and at a temperature not exceeding twenty degrees.
