You know those      damn holes in the wood of furniture or cabinets     ? Which form      in the hinge and      make it unstable? Who has ever been in a situation where they had to call a repair professional because otherwise the door would be so unstable that it would break?

It has happened to all of us, and if we are lucky enough to have a husband, partner, father or brother who is passionate about DIY, then we have benefited from their help and experience.

Otherwise, if we have good mechanical skills, we tried to fix it ourselves, sometimes successfully, sometimes      in fits and starts, until we gave up and finally asked the carpenter to intervene.

However, he reveals a phenomenal tip on how to restore a piece of furniture with holes without spending nearly a dime.

Broken furniture and cabinet hinges? Discover woodworking tips in no time

It doesn’t matter if these are simple holes that have appeared over the years or real craters created by hinge hooks.      Repair is very easy with a carpenter’s bit!

Get some glue and a roll of aluminum foil.

Using the appropriate tools (screwdriver, wrench, pliers, etc.), remove   the door from the cabinet     , then remove      the hinge     , leaving the main opening exposed.      Clean all the holes and fill them with glue     . Let it rest completely    .

Then unroll a piece      of aluminum foil    and      cut a strip the size of the opening     . Use it as a template to make the same holes. The number depends on the depth of the hole. Adjust accordingly as the aluminum sheet      acts as a mask and      solves the problem by storing the screw so it doesn’t come loose again in the future.

Insert the first strip completely and then apply more and more layers until it is completely covered.

Now you can reassemble the hinge and put the door back in place!

Easy, right? Try it and tell us!
